Forest Bathing
“Have you ever felt the forest was speaking to you, even in silence?”
I’m Agatha, a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, with the Association of Forest and Nature Therapy. I gently invite people to slow down and reconnect- with the land, with their senses, and with themselves.
Forest Therapy, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku or “forest bathing,” is not a hike or a fitness walk. It’s a guided experience rooted in mindfulness and deep presence, where participants are invited to tune into the rhythms of the natural world through a series of gentle, open-ended invitations.
What I do is hold space—safe, inclusive, and grounded—for people to experience the forest in a new way. I guide walks that support well-being, reduce stress, and foster a sense of wonder and belonging. The forest does the healing. I simply open the door.
I find joy and deep purpose in this work. Every walk is different, shared with others in the forest, and it reminds me of the power of slowing down and listening—to birdsong, to wind, to the quiet voice within. I believe that nature connection is not a luxury—it’s a birthright. And it’s my honour to help people come home to that truth.
